Levine Keszler advises Pechel and Bpifrance on the LBO of Groupe Louis Tellier
Pechel continues to roll out its ReG Fund (Responsible Growth) vehicle with the acquisition of a majority stake in Groupe Louis Tellier. The transaction enables the current shareholders, UI Investissement, Société Générale Capital Partenaires, Equitis and Pierre Tellier, to exit, and the ReG fund, accompanied by Bpifrance, to enter the capital alongside Jean-Philippe Molinari and his teams.
Groupe Louis Tellier specialises in the manufacture and sale of kitchen and pastry utensils for professionals and consumers. The group owns the iconic brands Louis Tellier, created in 1947 and renowned for its vegetable mills, mandolines and raclette machines, and Gobel, created in 1887 and dedicated to the world of pastry.
With one of the largest catalogues on the market (more than 3,000 items), Groupe Louis Tellier markets its products in France and internationally (35% of its turnover), particularly in North America. The group works with specialist distributors for professionals and private individuals, and has recently developed its e-commerce offering with the launch of two dedicated websites.
Groupe Louis Tellier has two production sites in France, located in Joué-les-Tours and Argenteuil, both recognised as Living Heritage Companies, a guarantee of the group’s artisanal and industrial expertise.
Pechel will support the management team in developing the group in France and internationally, strengthening its leadership in the B2B segment and continuing its growth in B2C. As part of its sustainable performance approach, the group will also work on optimising its production to improve employee well-being and optimise raw material consumption.
Levine Keszler advised Pechel and Bpifrance.
