Levine Keszler advises Sipartech on raising €180 million to accelerate the construction of its long-distance fibre optic network and interconnect all its metropolitan networks in Europe
Sipartech, a neutral and independent operator of fibre optic infrastructure for businesses, has announced the signature of a €180 million syndicated loan with Natixis.
Sipartech has enjoyed strong and sustained growth since its creation. With this bank financing, Sipartech will be investing massively over the next 3 years in its own construction of new long-distance fibre optic infrastructures in numerous territories in France and Europe, to accelerate its international expansion and increase its metropolitan coverage areas.
These new cable deployments will enable Sipartech to meet the growing needs of its customers for dedicated and diversified infrastructures in Europe; Sipartech is thus confirming its commitment to supporting its customers, including the world’s tech giants, in extending, securing and making available their digital activities in all territories.
Sipartech currently has a 25,000 km network in Europe, including 13,000 km in France. This growth plan will take the form of an initial phase involving the construction of 1,400 km of additional networks, which will be brought into service at the end of 2021 in new regions of France: the Atlantic seaboard and the PACA region. It will also be accompanied by an increase in recruitment, with staff numbers set to double by 2022.
Levine Keszler advised Sipartech on this transaction.
