Levine Keszler advises Finishers on its €3.3 million fundraising round

Finishers, France’s leading marketplace for outdoor sporting events, has announced the completion of a €3.3 million fundraising round led by around 20 investors, including Anthony Bourbon and his investment club Blast.Club. Mathieu Blanchard, the famous French ultra-trail runner, joins Stéphane Diagana, world athletics champion, and Thierry Omeyer, double Olympic handball champion, who are already shareholders in Finishers, by also acquiring a stake in the company, demonstrating the interest of athletes in the sector in the start-up.

This funding round aims to accelerate the company’s growth in three main areas: product development (for organisers and runners), the integration of new outdoor disciplines (triathlon, cycling, swimming, etc.), and international development.

Finishers was founded and is based in Lyon. Launched in June 2021 by Benoit Grassigny, Hugo Charrier and Arnaud Didry, Finishers is the first SaaS-enabled marketplace for outdoor sports events in France. Since its launch, the site has recorded more than 10 million visitors and offers access to more than 12,000 events in France and Europe.

Benjamin Briand, Partner at Levine Keszler, has been advising the founders of Finishers since its launch on growth and financing issues.
