Silverfleet Capital Partners sells La Fée Maraboutée to CAPZA, Levine Keszler advises Silverfleet Capital Partners
CAPZA Transition has acquired a majority stake in La Fée Maraboutée, a premium French women’s ready-to-wear brand, from Silverfleet Capital Partners, among others.
Founded in 1996 and based in Roanne, La Fée Maraboutée designs and distributes women’s clothing and accessories.
It operates an omnichannel distribution model combining around 140 branded stores mainly located in France, a network of multi-brand distributors in 20 countries in Europe and internationally, and direct sales via the internet.
Since 2019, the company has been managed by a highly experienced and complementary duo, Gaëlle Lelong and Pierre-Yves Vincent-Falquet. The new management team, which has been expanded to include new talent, aims to consolidate its territorial network in France, accelerate its development in the digital channel and strengthen its CSR characteristics.
GOTS-certified since 2022, the company promotes ethical and responsible values by sourcing almost all of its materials in Europe, designing collections with eco-friendly materials and developing second-life channels.
In 2021, the company, which has around 200 employees, generated turnover of more than €50 million and returned to significant growth in sales and profitability in 2022. This resilience and ability to bounce back can be explained in particular by the target customer segment, the quality of the group’s offering and the management processes implemented by its management team.
Through this transaction, CAPZA Transition is supporting the group’s strategic plan by acquiring a majority stake alongside its key managers.
