Socotec Group acquires Société Novatrice d’Etudes et Réalisations Levine Keszler advises Socotec Group

The Socotec Group, which has been in an LBO with Cobepa and Five Arrows since 2013, has strengthened its Non-Destructive Testing & Inspection division with the acquisition of Société Novatrice d’Etudes et Réalisations (SNER).

SNER was founded in 1990 and was previously managed by Pierre Chastel. It specialises in non-destructive testing and industrial environment testing. It employs 40 people at two sites in mainland France (Gaillon, near Rouen, and Grenoble) and at Kourou in French Guiana.

This operation will enable the Socotec Group to strengthen its position in non-destructive testing by capturing complementary customer segments in high added-value sectors (such as aeronautics, space, pharmaceuticals and chemicals) and by integrating new cutting-edge expertise techniques developed by SNER (such as endoscopy and cryogenics).

This transaction will enable the Socotec group to position itself among the top 5 players in non-destructive testing in France.

Levine Keszler advised the Socotec Group.
